We live in amazing times. Don't you feel it? The global economy is trembling. The news about the environment pours in. And yet, we're on the cusp of amazing shift. Something is waiting to burst through—a new and gentler way of relating to the world.
Much of this emerging change involves holding love in our hearts and living with compassion and kindness,
but there's also a critical, broader aspect. This new way of being depends on what we DO today-
-just as clicking here could change the world.
Because this month, Gaia is working in partnership with the League of Conservation Voters to send a message to our newly elected president,
urging him to take action to support this shift.
It's an opportunity we can't miss! After eight years of Big Oil's energy policies, we've got the chance to create a new, sustainable energy economy. But we must act now. President-elect Obama has only a narrow window to take the lead with a clean-energy agenda in his first 100 days.
So come join us to ask the new president to support four goals as soon as he takes office:º Move America to 100% clean electricity;
º Cut our dependence on oil in half;
º Create 5 million new clean energy jobs; and
º Cut global warming pollution by at least 80%.
