Summary
Gaia is seeking a Producer of Original Content. The position is responsible for producing Gaia’s original video content, which include talk shows, lecture style programs and docuseries. The position’s duties involve research and development, booking, interviewing and managing talent, managing budgets and coordinating productions, filming in studio and in the field, creating scripts, providing notes and guidance to editors and animators, and supervising Associate Producers.
Gaia produces a wide range of programs and topics, so this position requires creative flexibility, and the ability handle multiple productions in various stages. Also, Gaia’s producers are paramount in the propagation of Gaia’s mission; a crucial part of the job is maintaining and developing relationships in the conscious community.
Producers are preferred that have strong technical skills with editorial programs, like Adobe Premiere, and understand Artificial Intelligence in relation to content creation.
Familiarity with and affinity for our content is a prerequisite to applying.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop content that aligns with Gaia’s vision and mission
- Coordinate filming sessions and book, interview and manage talent
- Create scripts and provide direction to Gaia’s postproduction staff
- Supervise and mentor Associate Producers
Qualifications
- 4 plus years of Producer experience at a major market producing unscripted content for popular SVODs and/or traditional TV networks
- Must be willing to take direction and be flexible with job duties daily
- Bilingual in English/French, English/Spanish, or English/German is preferred but not required
