Gift Subscriptions must be given within six months of purchase and redeemed and activated within one year of purchase date. Void where prohibited by law. The Gift Subscription is not refundable or redeemable for cash or any other goods or services and cannot be combined with any other offers, coupons, discounts or promotions. Who can redeem a gift?

Both current members and non-members can redeem a gift. There are several cases where a current member will not be able to redeem a gift, such as third party billed members, members on an account pause, cancelled members with time remaining on their subscription, or profiles under a main account. In these cases the member will be prompted to contact our Member Support team for assistance in redeeming their gift.

Can anyone purchase a gift?

Only existing Gaia members will be able to purchase gifts directly on the website only. In the future we will allow users who are not signed up for Gaia to purchase a gift.

Does the gift subscription have an expiration date?

Yes. The gift subscription will expire 1 year after the purchase date and cannot be redeemed after that date.

Does the membership auto-renew once the gift subscription period ends?

For a new or cancelled member, the membership will not automatically renew after the gift period. For a current member redeeming a gift their membership will continue its regular billing cadence once the gift duration has ended.

What if the recipient already has an existing membership?

If an existing member redeems a gift, the gift subscription period is added after their paid-through-date of their existing subscription.

What currencies are supported?

Only USD is currently supported and any member billed in non-USD default currency will be prevented from purchasing a gift. We will be adding more currencies in the future.

Is the gift membership refundable?

No. Gift subscriptions are non-refundable.

Is the start date of the membership the day the email is delivered?

No. The start date of the gift membership is the day that the gift is redeemed.
