In Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra, yoga includes eight distinct parts – referred to as limbs – that, when practiced, refine and stabilize every aspect of our lives and lead us toward our inner light of awareness. The purpose of all eight limbs is to purify ourselves, evolve spiritually, and connect to that light of inner awareness. As a result of living the yogic lifestyle, practitioners have healthier bodies, minds, and are more content, able to be steady amidst the constant flux of life.
