Living in Balance

How can accepting this moment improve our relationship and our health? Tolle explains the concept of a “pain body.” A pain body is where our suffering comes from and includes past suffering, not just our own personal past suffering but also the past suffering of humanity. To overcome pain, it helps to realize that our pain isn't personal; instead it comes from the pain body.
In addition, there is a collective pain body that comes from sub-populations by race, geography, gender, etc. For instance, women have an extensive pain body because of past sufferings in history and it especially is present right before menstruation. He explains how to live in the now by surrendering and accepting it. Now and life are one; there is no life outside of now. Once you live in the present moment, letting go of a narrative full of anger or resentment, you open yourself up to healing.
