Tapping into the Secrets of the Universe with Dr. Sky
In 1609, when Galileo turned his telescope to the night sky for the first time, the greatest mysteries of the universe began to unfold. Centuries later, our telescopes are still trained upon the cosmos and these great mysteries keep unfolding. Steve Kates, aka Dr. Sky, explains how you can tap into the greatest secrets of the universe from your own backyard by using binoculars and telescopes in this interview with George Noory.
Steve Kates got his first experiences with astronomy as a child and has been engaged in the science of Astronomy for well over thirty years. He is the President of Dr.Sky.com,Inc., a multimedia company that specialized in Astronomy, Space, Aviation and Weather productions. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, he produces a variety of science educational programs for both radio/TV, and is the host of two radio shows: the Dr. Sky Show on 92.3FM News Talk, and A Call to Rights, on News Talk 1100 AM.
