Voices from the Forest
New Zealand sacred sites researcher Gary Cook wanted to find out whether the fairy folk beings are physical or if these otherworldly adventures come from another dimension. Maori folklore speaks of the Turehu or Patupaiarehe – a small fairy folk, 3 to 4 feet tall, often fair-haired or occasionally witnessed with red hair and with green or blue eyes and pale skin.
Cook engaged a camera crew and went into the bush to find out. To his surprise, the crew captured a supernatural anomaly on camera. But there’s more: during the filming, local farmers, Maori Iwi and Kaumatua came forward with information and testimonials related to the voices of the forest. This documentary film is an extraordinary experience that will change how people look at the “unseen.”
