Hanumanasana - Progressive Series - Season 1 Episodes
S1 E1 - Hanumanasana Part 1: A Warm Up
23 minsTune into your creative energy with this gentle warm up to open the hamstrings and find mobility in the spine. Build toward Hanumanasana (full splits) or enjoy this practice on its own as a sweet way to prep the canvas of your body for any time of day. Begin lying down with gentle movements to awaken the spine before moving to several standing wide-legged fold variations.
S1 E2 - Hanumanasana Part 2: Thighs and Hips
33 minsFollow along with the series as you continue to prep for hanumanasana, the full splits. To open the hips and legs safely we must work all four sides of the leg/hip: the front, outer, inner, and back quadrants. The second of a five part series, this class includes thigh stretches, lunges, squats and more, building tone in the leg and hip muscles in order to open and lengthen them.
S1 E3 - Hanumanasana Part 3: Inner Thighs, Groin, and Core
28 minsThis is the third video in the series with Ashleigh Sergeant leading up to hanumanasana - the splits. To open the hips and legs safely and effectively we must work all four sides of the leg/hip: front, outer, inner and back. This class uses skilfull alignment, functional strength training, dynamic non-linear movement and repetition to powerfully tone and open the core, groins and inner thighs.
S1 E4 - Hanumanasana Part 4: Strengthen and Open the Back of the Legs
21 minsIn the fourth part of this series from Ashleigh Sergeant, this class uses skilfull alignment, functional strength training, dynamic non-linear movement and repetition to powerfully tone and open the hamstrings and entire back body. A key concept addressed is the need to contract opposing muscles in order to lengthen so there will be a strong focus on toning the thighs to release the back of the legs.
S1 E5 - Hanumanasana Part 5: Full Splits
38 minsIn the final video of this five part series, Ashleigh Sergeants brings you through skilfull alignment, functional strength training, dynamic non-linear movement and repetition to powerfully tone and open the big muscles in the back of the legs, the hamstrings. Get ready to take a leap of faith into the full splits!
