Lost Rites of Passage with Andrea Villa
Traditionally, rites of passage gave young boys and young women a template for becoming a man. The more our children engage with technology, the more they become socially disconnected and disempowered. In this interview with Regina Meredith, Andrea Villa explains how reuniting young boys with nature, through the lost rites of passage, initiates their spiritual maturation process and empowers them to be successful in life.
As a Newfield trained ontological coach and a level 2 TRE practitioner, Andrea Villa has developed an understanding of ritual and ceremonies as the lost language of modernity. It is a brilliant layered tool to connect to nature, to build community and as a framework for healing. With his attention turned to the lack of events initiating young men and women into adulthood, he has guided more than four hundred boys through a transformative experience. He also offers workshops for girls.
