Healing with Lucid Dreaming
Can we heal psychological trauma in our sleep? Lucid dreaming is a practice where you are aware that you are dreaming and may even have some control over what happens. In a new study of lucid dreaming conducted by the Institute of Noetic Sciences, a group of people suffering from PTSD were taught how to lucid dream, with the intention of healing their trauma. All came out of the study with remarkable symptom relief. With the groundbreaking incorporation of biomarker analysis, the study may also shed light on whether this practice may have an impact on one’s biology, which could go a long way towards offering evidence of a mind-body connection. Lucid dreaming teacher Charlie Morley and lead scientist of the study Dr. Garret Yount explore the potentials.
