Zen: Silence and Mindfulness
In recent years, Zen practice has become a very popular phenomenon in the West and in many other parts of the world. The word Zen has become synonymous with tranquility, relaxation and meditation. But what is Zen really? What is its origin? What is the Zen way of life like? What can it contribute to our daily lives?
At the Luz Serena Monastery, located in the province of Requena, Spain, the first Spanish Zen master Dokushó Villalba and the community of residents of the monastery will share their experiences. We will learn what their daily practices are, their philosophy of life and what contributions this way of being present and rooted in the here and now can offer our lives.
